Studying Youth Ministry at Heartland
Youth ministry is one of the most exciting yet challenging areas of service in the local church. Working in a high-energy environment, leading teenagers to accept Christ, and mentoring them as God works in and through their lives is a thrill that is almost unparalleled. However, as exciting as youth ministry may be, teenagers today face daunting challenges navigating the ups and downs of family life, school, church life, and relationships.
The youth ministry program at Heartland Baptist Bible College is designed to equip men and women to help young people face challenges of life from a biblical perspective. The men who teach in the youth program offer many years of practical experience and have a great desire to shape the youth leaders of the coming generation with a biblical philosophy of youth ministry.
Not only will students in the youth program gain fresh ideas, learn established techniques, and develop a solid foundation for youth ministry, but they will almost immediately be able to put the training to use through involvement in the youth ministry at Southwest Baptist Church, and through the Youth Ministries Internship.
