This unique support model makes it possible for students of any financial background or situation to attend Heartland and allows them to graduate debt free.

Students are billed by semester (total annual cost/2) with two options to pay.
Option 1
Pay for the full semester, (half of the annual cost,) plus books and fees that apply. Payment is due at registration.
Option 2
Make a down payment at registration.
For Fall, 60% of the semester cost is due at Fall Registration. The remaining balance for the semester is divided into three equal payments that are due the 15th of each month starting with September. Also, students pay all other charges, including the installment fee, books, and other fees that may apply at registration.
In the Spring, 20% of the semester cost is due at Spring Registration. The remaining balance is divided into three payments that are due the 15th of each month starting with February. Also, students pay all other charges, including the installment fee, books, and other fees that may apply at registration.
Heartland has a number of financial assistance opportunities available to the student. These include institutional scholarships that are provided for need, merit, and service.
Students should pursue every opportunity for additional financial assistance from other sources which might include: family resources, help from the home church, church scholarship funds, alumni scholarship funds, grants available from school districts and community organizations, scholarships from employers, and other private sources.
A number of academic scholarships are available to new students at Heartland and in special cases, continuing students. These scholarships are available based on ability, potential, and need. The scholarship is available for one school year and will include an award of either a $250 or $500 tuition credit. A letter of request for the scholarship must be submitted by the student to the Admissions Director. The letter must include such items as a statement of purpose, immediate and future goals, why the student desires to attend HBBC, and why the scholarship is needed. Scholarship awards will be determined by the appropriate committee.
The spouse of a full-time student is eligible to receive a $250 tuition credit, provided the full-time student pays full tuition and the spouse is a full-time student.
When two or more single dependent children in a family are enrolled full-time, the second sibling and each subsequent sibling receives a $100 discount off the tuition charge. The sibling discount requires each student to be full-time, applies to tuition only, and requires the first child to pay full tuition.
These scholarships require some type of service on behalf of the college. Consideration and award is an administrative decision. No applications are involved. Examples of these types of scholarship include: Resident Advisors, RA assistants, music group scholarships, vacation Bible school team, etc.
The college is approved for VA education benefits.
Certain scholarships have been established over the years by churches, various groups, and individuals that provide scholarship funds for deserving students. Some have specified conditions that apply. The college will award these monies based on the desires, conditions, and timing as established by the individual, trust, or organization.
This is not a scholarship, but it is a financial arrangement associated with an on-campus job. The student employee must enroll in the work assistance program as a condition of employment. Under the program, the student will work 20-25 hours per week. From each paycheck, 70% will be applied to the student’s school bill until the semester is paid off, then the entire money goes to the student unless they desire to build up a credit.

What is the job market like?
Oklahoma City’s strong job market makes it possible for students to find a variety of jobs ranging from banking to fast food to day care to warehouse labor to retail to hospitality to manufacturing and more. An annual job fair is held each August on campus during registration for the sole purpose of local employers interviewing and hiring Heartland students for part-time employment. Students may also apply online for on-campus employment in the areas of maintenance, food service, bookstore, campus service center, housekeeping, security, music department, and the offices.
