While the Finance Office conducts much of the college’s daily business, which includes Accounting, Contributions and Student Accounts, one of our primary goals is to assist students with paying their school bill by providing services that will help develop a strong work ethic and equip students with the necessary tools to make sound financial decisions while at college.  Many students work their way through Heartland and benefit greatly from the experience as it becomes an integral part of their training for the ministry God has for them.  Following is a list of the Finance Office’s responsibilities and services.

Department Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Contributions
  • Student Accounts Receivable
  • Purchasing
  • Human Resources
  • Asset Management

Services:

Cost Estimates

The cost to attend Heartland Baptist Bible College will vary depending on class load, meal plans, books and several other factors.  The finance department can give estimates over the phone or by email.

Payment Plan

Our payment plan is designed to allow students to pay a percentage down at the beginning of the semester (60% in the fall, 20% in the spring) and to spread out the remainder of the balance into three monthly payments to be made during the semester.

Personal Budgeting

We can assist students with creating a personal spending plan that will serve as a financial road map for the school year helping them to stay on track financially.

Local Employment

We can assist students with finding local employment including on and off campus jobs.  Click here for an on-campus employment application.  In addition, we hold an annual job fair at the beginning of each fall semester for new and returning students.  Local employers come to our campus during this event looking for students to hire while enrolled at Heartland.  This has proven to be a great help, especially for those students arriving in town for the first time.

Note of interest:

OKLAHOMA CITY: NO. 9 FOR JOBS

The good news continues for Oklahoma City, which ranked No. 9 on Forbes' 2007 "Best Cities for Jobs" list. Results are based on unemployment rates, cost of living, median household income, job growth and income growth of the 100 largest metropolitan areas in the nation. In contrast, New York City, a popular destination for many graduates, was ranked No. 96.

According to Forbes', Oklahoma City ranked 11th for cost of living, 12th for income growth and 21st for unemployment rank.

Work Transportation

We offer a shuttle service for students who do not have a vehicle at school but need transportation to and from work.  The cost for this service is $50 a month or $5 a day and must be paid prior to the ride.

Student Payments

Payments can be received in the form of check, cash, credit card, debit card, or a wire transfer.  Payments may be made in person or over the phone if applicable.

Check Cashing

Checks can be cashed up to $25 per day.  Larger checks may be cashed based upon the need, but only with special approval.  Rolls of quarters may also be purchased for coin operated machines such as washers and dryers, and other vending machines.
